Women’s Foodservice Network Meeting at Food Garden, Main-Taunus-Zentrum (Frankfurt)
Approximately 30 women from across the industry gathered at the Food Garden
in the Main-Taunus-Zentrum. This location serves as a prime example of how
shopping centers are currently evolving.
Where the former Karstadt space—vacant since 2001—once stood, a modern
open-air food concept has emerged, featuring abundant greenery, a diverse range
of culinary offerings, and a clear focus on the “third place” philosophy.
The figures speak for themselves: the share of gastronomy in MTZ’s overall revenue
has already increased from 2.5% to 6%, while the center also recorded a 10% rise in footfall in 2025.
